Counted Cross Stitch Monogram Ornament

I am participating in Homemade with Love, homemade Christmas gift ideas hosted by Kisses of Sunshine.

My gift is a Counted Cross Stitch Monogram Ornament. I got the pattern The Goose Berry Patch Christmas 7, but I found this website with a free monogram alphabet pattern.

I started giving these ornaments last year to everyone on my list. They are great package toppers and wonderful little gifts for teachers, Sunday School teachers and co-workers.

To finish out the ornament, I (actually my mom did last year) sewed Christmas fabric to the back of it and attached a ribbon. I am going to mount them this year to a fabric covered piece of cardboard and add a decorative ribbon for trim. Craft stores also have small frames in the cross stitch area.

They take about an hour to make from start to finish, and what Southern girl doesn’t love a monogram?
